The purpose of this event is to:
Help participants learn about touristship, and provide them with specific actions to take in each region,
so that they can become travelers whom locals are delighted to see.

Arashiyama Shoryuen
I had the opportunity to interact with tourists and international visitors—people I don't usually get to meet. It was a valuable experience that I’ll carry with me.
Senso-ji Temple
It was a lot of fun talking with visitors through the quiz. It was a great way to connect with people.
Miyajima Ferry Terminal Plaza
I think this event is wonderful because it creates a win-win experience for both visitors and the local community. I'm grateful to have had the chance to contribute, even in a small way.
Nijo Castle
Through location-based quizzes, I was able to engage with many visitors while helping raise awareness of Touristship. Volunteering alongside people of different ages was especially rewarding, as we naturally supported one another by sharing our knowledge and experiences.
Yasaka Shrine
This was my first time volunteering, and I was quite nervous right up until we started. But the warmth and friendliness of the visitors helped me relax. I'm truly grateful for the experience.

Nationwide “TD Quiz"
The Travel Destination Quiz is not only conducted locally but also held once a year as a nationwide collaborative event across Japan. The next event will take place on October 25, 2025 (Saturday). We welcome anyone interested to get in touch with us for details.
How to Participate
Participation is free, and no reservation is required. We pour our heart into making it enjoyable, so you're guaranteed to have a fun time!
By joining, you’ll also learn about touristship and the local area! This knowledge helps you travel with confidence, avoiding unintentional harm or misunderstandings.

Travelers' backgrounds vary by location, and you'll have the opportunity to interact with people from different countries. This is especially recommended for those who want to practice speaking Chinese, French, German, Portuguese, Spanish, and more!
You can join as a volunteer for just one event or as frequently as you'd like. If you enjoy it, feel free to come every time or once a month. We look forward to welcoming more members to our team!

Currently, we are expanding only within Japan, but we believe that this type of interactive manners awareness initiative is needed in tourist destinations around the world. If you're a DMO or a local government interested in hosting this event in your country or region, we would be happy to hear from you. Below are the benefits of hosting a TDquiz event.
①Improved Manners
目Direct communication in person, the fun atmosphere created by the TDquiz, and the alignment with the concept of touristship will lead to meaningful behavior change and improved manners.
②Direct Survey
After the quiz, we conduct a survey. Thanks to the quiz's ability to attract participants, we can gather more responses and conduct interviews compared to traditional street surveys.
③Involvement of Locals
Not only can you show a strong commitment to promoting good manners, but by involving local residents as volunteer staff, you can create opportunities for interaction between travelers and locals.
