🌟News from Haruta!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our representative, Chieko Tanaka, spoke at the Destinations International Annual Convention 2026<\/strong>, held in Portland, Oregon, USA.

Destinations International is the world’s leading association for destination organizations, bringing together destination management organizations (DMOs), tourism boards, government agencies, and tourism professionals from around the globe. The annual convention welcomed around 2,000 tourism leaders to discuss the future of tourism, including destination stewardship, community engagement, sustainability, and the use of AI.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ms. Tanaka’s session, titled “Touristship in Action: How Destinations Can Champion Responsible Travel,” introduced the concept of Touristship and our interactive Travel Quiz Event, which has been held in destinations across Japan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Participants showed great interest in Touristship as a concept that encourages not only travelers but also local communities to build positive relationships through thoughtful actions. They also enjoyed experiencing the Travel Quiz Event firsthand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We were delighted to receive many positive comments and encouraging feedback from participants following the session.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We sincerely thank everyone who attended and look forward to continuing to share the concept of Touristship with destinations around the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
